Finalists for ITOC 2010 awards

28/07/10

The finalists of the Inbound Tour Operators Council (ITOC) Operator of the Year Award for 2010 have been announced.

A media release from ITOC says the finalists are–
• InterCity Group, Auckland.
• Johnston's Coachlines, Auckland.
• Limousine Services Queenstown, Queenstown.

ITOC says this award has been running since 1982 and is awarded to the tourism supplier (ITOC allied member) as voted by inbound tour operators (ITOC full members). Last year it was won by Distinction Luxmore Hotel Te Anau.

The finalists for the ITOC Inbound Tour Operator of the Year Award 2010 are–
• AOT New Zealand.
• Pacific Destinationz.
• Pan Pacific Travel.

This award is in its first year and is awarded to the inbound tour operator (ITOC full member) as voted by tourism suppliers (ITOC allied members).

Paul Yeo, chief executive of ITOC, says “These awards are held in high esteem by our members and are highly sought after.

"Nominations are gathered from our members and then points are awarded for a number of key attributes. The award for tourism operators has been running for almost 30 years now and is legendary - it’s a true indication of how operators are valued by inbound tour operators and their partners in the international distribution chain. This year we are pleased to turn the tables and ask suppliers to vote for the best inbound tour operator in a new award.”

Voting amongst ITOC members will now take place until the winner is announced at the ITOC Conference in Marlborough on 18 August.
